My name is Alisha Collins and I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  I taught for 3 years, but since I was a little girl, my dream was to own a gift shop and host fairytale parties.  I realized I was doing nothing to accomplish this goal, and began taking steps to make it happen.  A few months later, I opened my very own gift shop where children's special events would be held.  We would be a shop that would specialize in gifts that are sure to be the talk of the party and parties that are sure to be the talk of the town!  What I didn't plan on was renting a building that was inhabited by a pixie, a very ritzy pixie!  However, this pixie seemed to add enchantment and a bit of mischief to our parties, so we decided to keep her.  She now resides in a hole located in our tea room, where she watches children as they celebrate wonderful events and holidays.  The pixie and I actually became quite good friends, and I decided to name my gift shop after her.  We are known today as The Ritzy Pixie, Inc.

The most commonly asked question by my fabulous customers is, "Where did you get the idea?".  First and foremost, I believe that nothing I have done could be possible without the help of God.  I know that he blessed me with the gift of an imagination that I enjoy using everyday in the business that I lead.  Secondly, I was raised by parents and grandparents who believed that an imagination was a beautiful thing.  They each encouraged me to use my imagination as often as possible.  Bedtime storytelling with my grandparents first comes to mind.  My sister and I had one particular favorite that involved our famous "Painter" who was lost in a pasture full of cow patties!  Third, I had a cousin who always involved us in spectacular tea parties that were very elaborate.  We would have the most fun in our oversized clothes, jewelry and shoes.  Fancy talk and pinkies up were an absolute must!  I basically took my love for all three and rolled them into one business.  I believe you can't go wrong when you're working in a field that enables you to use your God-given talents.

I would like to take a moment to thank all of our little customers.  Without each of you, our pixie wouldn't exist!

See our hilarious pictures below having a tea party when I was a kid with my sister and cousins.  (I'm the one with the feather in my hat)  Also, see my grandparents at their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
